by Howie Beach
Born in the first quarter of the 20th Century (6/1/25), and destined to be among the many future citizens of Tom Brokow’s Greatest Generation, Howie Beach “willingly” did his country a “favor.”
Timing placed the author in the annals of history to serve where needed...to help prevent Adolph Hitler’s attempted conquest of the World in World War Two.
He was awarded the Silver Star Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, The French Legion of Honor, five Campaign Battle Stars, and other medals during his eleven months of combat with the Ninth Infantry Division’s 9th Reconnaissance Troop in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.
